Optical Windows are optical glass with polished faces that are relatively parallel. They are used to protect laser output. Always windows are AR coated to eliminate reflection, so AR coated windows offer improved transmission when used in industrial displays or computer monitors. Their high transmission makes them ideal for most industrial and laser protecting applications.

“Antireflective coating Enhances Optical Windows Performance!”

Each beam of light generates a back reflection during the transition from one into another medium. Antireflective coatings are used to minimize effects like loss of power and the appearance of dangerous hot spots caused by the back reflection.

Antireflective coatings (short AR-coating) are used in a variety of optics as they reduce the reflection of glass surfaces. The increased light transmission and a reduction of aberrations are the main advantages.

Used as last optics to be used before the working are to protect the high-class laser optic from material spillings during the laser welding and cutting process.

Optica offers a line of Wedged Laser Protecting Windows with AR coatings on both sides. These wedged optics eliminate fringe patterns and can be used to help avoid cavity feedback. Windows are useful for protecting a laser output from environmental effects and for beam sampling applications. We also supply planar windows with a variety of substrate materials and coating options. 

 

We  provide materials  made  out of BK7, Fused Silica, BaF2, KBr, Silicon, Germanium and ZnSe according customer’s specifications. Standard wedge angles are 30′, 12′, 1°, 2°, 5° and 7.5° but we can make any angle. Please contact us for quotation of your custom optical wedge price!
